  • Indian Summer is located on Howells Mere, which is 
    part of the prestigious Lower Mill Estate.

  • Lower Mill Estate is easily accessed from the M4 and M5 and is 
    just 11 miles from junction 15 of the M4.

  • For Sat Navigation systems the Post Code is GL7 6FQ which is fot Howells Mere within LME. Please note that some maps may not have this postcode. For these please use GL7 6BG which gets you to the entrance to Lower Mill Estate.

  • The nearest British Rail station is at Kemble, 3 miles away (10 minutes in a taxi) and from here there are frequent services to Swindon, Gloucester and Cheltenham as well as a regular service to London, Paddington (1 hour and 20 minutes).

Directions to Lower Mill Estate

From M4:

​

  • Take exit 15 and follow the signs northwards to Cirencester along the A419 for approximately 15 miles.

​

  • At the Spine Road junction, turn off the A419 following the brown tourist signs to the Cotswold Water Park.

​

  • As you come up the exit slip from the dual carriageway, you come to a round-about - take the first exit, sign-posted the Cotswold Water park. This brings you onto the B4696 Spine Road.

​

From the M5 southbound:

​

  • Take exit 11A and head for Cirencester.  At Cirencester follow the signs for Swindon and the M4 on the A417/419 for approximately 4 miles; continue on the A419 to the Spine Road junction following the brown tourist signs to the Cotswold Water Park.

​

  • At the first roundabout on exiting the dual carriageway, turn right (fourth exit) following the signs to the Cotswold Water Park. Go straight across the second roundabout onto the B4696 Spine Road.

Once on the B4696 Spine Road

​

  • Continue on the B4696 for 2.5 miles until you reach a staggered crossroads. Go straight across the crossroads and continue on this road for 1.4 miles and turn left into Mill Lane which is the entrance of The Lower Mill Estate. There are brown sign posts for Lower Mill Estate at the entrance of Mill Lane and just before Mill Lane you will see a signs for Archary and Shooting range.

Directions to Indian Summer Within LME

PLEASE NOTE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 10 MPH AT LME

​

  • Once you have turned into Mill Lane you will see a set of Gates and a Gate Lodge on your right hand side.

​

  • Turn right and stop at the Gate Lodge. The gate lodge is manned at peak holiday times but there is a gate entrance keypad near the gate.

​

  • We will provide you with the Gate Entrance Code so that you can enter the estate.

​

  • If the Gate Lodge is manned then you will need to show the security guard that you have a map of the estate, a parking notice, and to tell the Security Guard that you are Friend and Family of the owners of 16 Howells Mere.

​

  • Once you enter through the Main Entrance Gates follow the road over the small humpback bridge and  carry on straight. You will pass through one of the overflow carparks on the estate. Drive straight through the carpark to the entrance and you will come to a cross road. At the crossroad you will see a large safety mirror, please note that you will need to turn right at this point and the mirror will show you any hidden oncoming traffic.

​

  • Once you have safely turned right follow the narrow road across a humpback bridge and then turn sharp right carefully after about 20 metres past a set of houses.

​

  • Then follow the road to the left and stay on the left when you see a fork in the road. In front of you is the Artspa swimming pools and spa. 

​

  • Please drive slowly past the Artspa – please take care as people may be leaving the Artspa.

​

  • Once past the Artspa you will see Ballihoo Bar and Restaurant. Drive past this and through a set of staggered gates. Follow the road past the Children's Play area and Tennis Courts and the memorial garden.

​

  • You will then reach another overflow car park and opposite the car park you will see a humpback bridge – follow the road over the bridge and you are now at Howells Mere.

​

  • Immediately after the bridge please turn a sharp left and follow the road around the lake. Once you have gone past a black boat house on the left hand side then 16 Howells Mere is 20 metres on the right hand side.
